Update #3

I know it's been a while, but I was holding out thinking that I might get a job. I didn't get a job, however, all is great! I'm looking at it as a opportunity for me to grow and learn more. I have been so blessed to have a wonderful support time! They always know when to encourage me. One of my biggest supporters is Mrs. Cooper (Shelley), I student taught in her classroom. We have become really good friends. In fact, she has given me the opportunity to do what I love so much. She has opened her classroom and class up to me. There are no words to how much this means to me. She has given me a class to invest into and the BEST part is that I get to work side-by-side with her. There is not a day that I don't learn something new and grow as a teacher when I walk into her classroom. I wish I could spend more time in there, in fact I get excited the nights before I go in and can't sleep! I thank God for blessing me with her! Because of her I am happy and very content with where God has me. I could go on forever, but I need to let you know what else I'm doing. Besides spending time in Shelley's class, I will be subbing and trying to get my foot in the door that way. I'm looking for interims and permit position. I want to be where God has me and He has me right here for now.

Update #2

This past week on Wednesday and Thursday I did a Kindergarten camp at HB Williams. It went wonderful. They have some really hard working teachers that have invested into me. I'm so grateful to them. I was hoping the camp would get my name out. As the time for school starting draws closer. I most admit, I'm getting a little scared.

Update #1

Still looking for a job. I'm praying and trusting the Lord. This past week I went around to several schools and handed out my resume. Just trying to be as proactive as possible. I could use all the prayers I can get.
I also just returned from camp with our high schoolers. It's was such a wonderful time. Amazing to see the students connect with God and I built some great relationship with the girls. It had to be one of the best camps I've been too, and I've been to many.

The Journey Begins

You can now follow my journey through the hiring process and my first year of teaching. I don't know where God has me to the yet, but I'm trusting in Him that I will have a job or be where He wants me come August. Ever since I graduated from TSU in May the question has been, “Have you got a job yet, or have you heard anything yet” so I thought that this would be a great way to keep everyone posted. It will also several as my blog while I teach, therefore, parents, friends, and fellow teachers can be a part of our class. So come along with us and watch has the students and I grow.
